The APS Employee Census is an annual survey which is used to collect confidential attitude and opinion information from APS employees on issues in the workplace. It is an opportunity for APS employees to share their experiences of working in the APS.
Each year, our staff take part in the APS Employee Census. All staff across the APS were provided the opportunity to complete this survey.
What we do with the results
We support our people to deliver effective and efficient public services.
The Census allows staff to have their say on important workforce issues. This includes:
- job satisfaction
- employee engagement
- performance management
- leadership
- general impressions of the Australian Public Service.
The department gains insights from the results and is committed to taking action to improve our working environment by identifying key areas for improvement and developing a series of actions to improve future APS Census results.
We release our Census results and Census Action Plan to be more transparent and accountable.
