The $8 million Illegal Logging: Regional Capacity Building Partnership was funded in 2012-13 and aimed to build capacity in the Asia Pacific region to implement timber legality verification systems.
The Illegal Logging: Regional Capacity Building Partnership provided $6 million to fund the Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade Partnership and Program, led by The Nature Conservancy and $2 million to fund the International Tropical Timber Organization managed Thematic Programme on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade.
Through the implementing partners, the program supported a wide range of projects including engagement of governments and industry on timber legality verification systems and providing technical support to forest managers.
