From 1 October 2018, a nil rated Emergency Plant Pest Response (EPPR) component will be introduced to the ginger levy. The overall levy rate will not change.
This will provide a sure mechanism for fulfilling the financial obligations of the industry under the EPPR Deed.
Changes to the levy rates for ginger are shown in the table below:
