Starting 1 July 2016, the research and development (R&D) and Plant Health Australia (PHA) component of the citrus levy will increase. The overall rate increase for the citrus levy is shown in the table below:

Information on Lodging your Returns
Quarterly returns
If you are a citrus levy payer/agent who submit quarterly returns, you will be required to:
- use the current levy rate for your April to June 2016 quarterly return – due on or before 28 July 2016
- use the new levy rate for all future returns starting with your July to September 2016 quarterly return – due on or before 28 October 2016
Annual returns (calendar year)
If you are a citrus levy payer/agent who submit annual returns, you will be required to report two separate rates in your 2016 annual return form:
- the current levy rate will apply from 1 January to 30 June 2016
- the new levy rate will apply from 1 July to 31 December2016
