Starting 1 January 2016, the overall Chestnut Levy and Charge rate will increase from 10c/kg ($100/tonne) to 11c/kg ($110/tonne). The change is attributed to the 1c/kg ($10/tonne) Emergency Plant Pest Response (EPPR) levy increase used to repay the industry share of the cost in relation to an emergency response to chestnut blight in Victoria.
