Who does this notice affect?
Importers and customs brokers who import goods eligible for the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme, and Biosecurity Officers who process AIMS entries that contain one or more lines of goods eligible for the CBIS.

What has changed?
On 18 December 2019, Industry Advice Notice 221-2019 - Changes to AIMS directions issued under the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme was published. This Industry Advice Notice outlined changes to AIMS directions issued under the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme that were due to take place during December 2019.
Due to unforeseen system issues, the changes to the AIMS directions issued under the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme have been delayed and will not take place until early 2020.
As such, please disregard Industry Advice Notice 221-2019 - Changes to AIMS directions issued under the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme. A further IAN will be published prior to the new changes going live.
