The Australian standard diagnostic techniques (ASDT) for infectious bursal disease identifies and describes laboratory methods that assist in detecting and diagnosing infection caused by infectious bursal disease virus in susceptible poultry. This has been superseded by the Australian and New Zealand standard diagnostic procedure (ANZSDP) for very virulent infectious bursal disease virus.
