Support is available for farmers and communities affected by natural disasters in Australia.
You may be able to access support from your Australian, state or territory government. Visit Disaster Assist for more information. Services Australia can also provide a range of support options including lump sum payments and ongoing, short-term allowances. You can access these if you're directly affected by a declared disaster.

- DAFF teams are working closely with all affected airports and cruise terminals to expedite the processing of passengers, including those on cruise vessels that were unable to berth over the weekend.
- Protecting Australia’s borders remains a priority, with staff resuming biosecurity operations at the Australia Post Brisbane Gateway Facility on Monday 10 March.
- Export certification services remain operational and Brisbane Regional Office has returned to normal services from 9am (AEST) Tuesday 11 March.
- Due to flooding and staff safety concerns, there may be some unavoidable delays with staff conducting some import and export functions. However, staff from across the country are assisting with assessments, reallocating appointments and are prioritising urgent inspections.
- Approved arrangement premises should notify the department if goods held under biosecurity control have sustained damage and /or if their facilities and infrastructure have been impacted by the weather event.
