Australia's State of the Forests Report 2013 (SOFR 2013) is the fourth in the series of State of the Forests Reports. Previous national reports were published in 2008, 2003 and 1998. The purpose of the report was to keep the public informed about Australia's forests, their management, use and conservation, and to provide information on how they are changing. It was also used to report on the state of Australia's forests to the world. This was the first report in the series to be based on the same reporting framework as the previous report, seven criteria and 44 indicators. SOFR 2013 reports data for the five-year period from 2006-07 to 2010-11, unless otherwise stated.
