Who does this notice affect?
Clients in the import industry—including freight forwarders, importers, customs brokers, treatment providers and approved facilities that require treatment results actioned.
What’s changing?
With the commencement of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Season, It’s predicted that the volume of Cargo that may require onshore treatment will Increase. To ensure treatment results are actioned within our service standards clients are to do the following when emailing treatment results to Treatments.
Add the following Information into the subject field of the Email:
AA Number – Entry Number – Request Type – Perishable (only applicable for fresh produce)
e.g. V1234 – AC61234X7 – Treatment – Perishable
e.g. S4321 – AC67891Y9 - Disposal
Request Types in bold
- Pig meat Movements
- Pig meat Discrepancies
- Disposal
- Treatment
- Export
- In Cold Transits
From Monday, 24 September 2018 any requests lodged via this address that do not relate to the above request types will not be actioned.
From a treatments perspective the department has put measures in place to manage the potential increase in workloads.
Please Note: Out of hours treatment request must be received by 3 pm AEST.

All electronic documentation is to be lodged through the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS).
All Manual lodgements i.e. Personal Effects & Carnets to be emailed to Import assessment.
