Publication details
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, April 2023
This coversheet may be submitted alongside documentation for seed for planting consignments.
Use of the coversheet is voluntary and is intended to streamline the document assessment process. The coversheet will assist importers to:
- provide the required information upfront to assist document assessment officers in assessing import conditions that apply to your consignment.
- prompt industry participants to check import conditions on BICON and submit all relevant documentations required by the department, to reduce the need for the department to request further information when documents have not been provided.
Industry participants (importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, overseas suppliers) are encouraged to complete as much of the coversheet as possible.
Refer to the Instructions and tips document below for assistance to complete the coversheet.
Feedback on the coversheet and suggestions for improvement are welcomed. If you wish to provide feedback, or require further assistance, please email import@aff.gov.au, with ‘Plant T2 – Seed for planting entry coversheet’ in subject line.
