Purpose
The purpose of this Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise grain exporters that the closing date for submissions on the issues paper for the Port Terminal Access (Bulk Wheat) Code of Conduct review has been extended.
Summary of changes and key points
- The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources has extended the closing date for submissions on the Wheat Port Code review issues paper from 24 November 2017 to close of business 19 January 2018.
- The department will consider submissions before publishing a draft report and seeking further industry feedback in March 2018.
Background
IAN 2017-39 advised exporters that the department had started a review of the Port Terminal Access (Bulk Wheat) Code of Conduct (Wheat Port Code).

The department will arrange meetings with industry stakeholders to discuss their views. We are also available to meet with you in Canberra or to attend key industry events.
