Purpose
To advise that the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources has released the Work instruction: Inspection of protocol fruit and vegetables for export.
Summary of changes and key points
- The Work instruction: Inspection of protocol fruit and vegetables for export is available within the Plant Export Operations Manual under the ‘Fruit and vegetables product’ heading
- The work instructions specific to cherry inspections that were located through MICoR Plants in the Documents/Work plans section can no longer be used and have been removed
- The work instruction that was available on the department’s website for use during the pilots for mangoes, grapes and citrus can no longer be used and has been removed
- The mandatory checklist that was in the above work instructions as Attachment 1 can no longer be used and has been removed. The checklist has been replaced by a quick reference guide that is not required to be submitted with the Export Compliance Record.
Inspection Authorised Officer responsibilities
All inspection authorised officers inspecting goods under protocol market access arrangements must use the latest work instruction by referring to the electronic version of the document within the Plant Export Operations Manual.
