Purpose
To invite export registered establishments intending on preparing and exporting oaten hay to China, who have not yet applied, to apply to the department for audits by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), People’s Republic of China.
Background
In order to strengthen China’s quarantine inspection management of the import and export of feed and feed additives, AQSIQ implemented Administrative Measures of Inspection, Quarantine and Supervision on Import and Export Feed and Feed Additives (AQSIQ Decree No.118). As a result of the decree, AQSIQ expects to audit export registered establishments intending on preparing and exporting oaten hay to China.
Key Points
The department will prepare a recommendation list of export registered establishments for AQSIQ to consider for registration. Establishments recommended by the department for AQSIQ registration may be subject to an on-site inspection by AQSIQ officials as part of the registration process. All costs associated with AQSIQ officials (travel and accommodation) are to be borne by the establishments. Those who are currently registered can be found at http://micor.agriculture.gov.au/Plants/Pages/China_CN/Oaten_hay.aspx
