The Government of New Caledonia is introducing revised importing requirements for a range of animal products. These requirements, which come into effect on 24 August 2014, require amendments to existing export certificates used for the export animal products to New Caledonia.
Affected certificates include meat, dairy, seafood, wool, hides and skins, trophies and honey.
While the Department of Agriculture is currently working to amend existing certificates before 24 August 2014, exporters are requested to contact their regional Department of Agriculture office prior to exporting animal products to New Caledonia to determine availability of certification.
