This market access advice replaces information provided in FISH MAA1207, issued on 29 June 2012, advising of requirements for residue monitoring at Australian aquaculture establishment producing farmed products intended to be exported to the European Union (EU).
As previously advised, the European Commission (EC) has determined that all farmed products that are exported to the European Union (EU) must be part of an EU recognised and approved residue monitoring program.
As Australian aquaculture industries now participate in a national residue testing program that covers chemicals of concern to the EC, DAFF considers all aquaculture products sourced from any aquaculture farm within Australia meet EU residue monitoring requirements.
