Further to previous Market Access Advices on this issue (FISH 10/14, FISH 10/15 and FISH 10/16, which need to be read in conjunction with this advice), Vietnam’s National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD) has advised the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) that they will be assessing all future applications under Circular 25 on a monthly basis.
AQIS understands that NAFIQAD will not assess applications as they are received, but rather all applications they receive during the period of one month will be consolidated and then assessed at one time, most likely at the end of each month.
While AQIS will continue to submit applications on an as-received basis, exporters for whom Circular 25 requirements apply are encouraged to allow ample time for the NAFIQAD approval process to occur. Approval results in company details being listed on the Vietnamese website – please do not export goods until your name appears on the list as AQIS cannot facilitate their entry if detained.
