Biosecurity import conditions
Biosecurity import conditions for table grapes from India are now available on our Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) database. Stakeholders can find details on the import conditions in the BICON case.
Prior to the importation of table grapes from India, a valid import permit issued by the department is required. An import permit may be obtained by submitting an import permit application to the department. If viewed online, an application can be made by using the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of the BICON case.
The decision to commence imports is a commercial decision between an importer in Australia and an exporter in India who can meet the import conditions, as set out in BICON.
