Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants including approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are sending email correspondence to the department’s Imports – Request for Inspection Western Australia (WA) mailbox (ImportsRFIWA@agriculture.gov.au).

Detail:
The department’s Imports – Request for Inspection WA mailbox (ImportsRFIWA@agriculture.gov.au) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, biosecurity industry participants sending any email correspondence to this mailbox are not receiving automatic email replies from the department. This includes, but is not limited to, general enquiries, booking confirmations, booking changes and cancellations.
Action
Clients with urgent consignment or booking enquiries that would normally use the ‘Request for Inspection WA’ mailbox are advised to contact the department via phone on 1800 900 090 (option 1, option 3).
This issue is being investigated as a high priority and the department will advise once resolved. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
