Who does this notice affect?
Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries—including vessel masters, freight forwarders, offshore treatment providers, Biosecurity Industry Participants, importers, customs brokers, principal agents and master consolidators.
What has changed?
Following the identification of critical non-compliance, the department has listed Ecolab (Texas) (AEI: US4026SB) as unacceptable on List of unregistered providers.
The company may no longer perform treatments on Australian bound consignments. Treatment certificates will not be accepted from Ecolab (Texas) (AEI: US4026SB) as of the date they are listed as ‘unacceptable’ and goods in transit must meet the onshore outcomes in Biosecurity Import Conditions system (BICON).
The unacceptable date is published on the summary of recent changes in the ‘change date’ column on the List of unregistered treatment providers
Consignments or goods are classified as in transit when they have left the country of origin but have not yet been cleared through the border in Australia. Please refer to Biosecurity Import Conditions system (BICON) for onshore outcomes.
