Who does this notice affect?
All Biosecurity Industry Participants currently lodging biosecurity onshore measures results for the assessment of treatment results
What has changed?
This advice outlines the format for submitting TREATMENT records via email. When providing documents for Treatment assessment ensure that the request type and communication mentioned below are indicated in the email's subject line.
Email subject line format:
AA Number – Entry Number – “Request Type”
E.g. V1234 – A123456 – ‘Treatment’
“Request Type” should be treatment type highlighted in Bold:
- Disposal
- Export
- ITCT (In Transit Cold Treatment)
- Cold Treatment
- Gamma (Gamma irradiation)
- HT (Heat Treatment)
- Perishable
- ATT (Authority to Treat)
- 4.7 (Secure Unpack at approved 4.7 premise)
- SF Manual (Sulfuryl Fluoride)
- MB Manual (Methyl Bromide)
- ETO
- Treatment (other than listed)
- Permission to Dispose or Request to Dispose
- Overtime or OT (for requests outside of hours or OT)
Email content must include:
- Description of the REQUEST including ENTRY NUMBER (if available) and REQUEST TYPE e.g. ‘Disposal’
- List the documentation attachments relating to the request e.g. Airway bill, Treatment summary, treatment certificate, etc.
- List relevant container numbers if applicable
- Contact Details (Name and Phone Number).
Note: The email and documentation that does not meet the above criteria and requirements will not be assessed.
The department offers BIPS the ability to lodge record of fumigation (ROFs) for Methyl Bromide (MB) and Sulfuryl Fluoride (SF) through automated systems. For additional details about the automated process for onshore treatments, please reach out to Treatments using the subject line as per below in your email.
