Who does this notice affect?
Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries – including Biosecurity Industry Participants, master consolidators, vessel masters, freight forwarders, importers, customs brokers and principle shipping agents – associated with the transport or importation of chemical or mined (inorganic) fertiliser.
What has changed?
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is undertaking external consultation in relation to proposed changes to its Imported Inorganic Fertiliser Management policies.
The draft policy and associated supporting documentation is now available for comment via a ‘Have Your Say’ consultation platform, available at: Review of Inorganic Fertiliser Assessment and Management Policy | Have Your Say - Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
The Have Your Say website includes a summary document detailing the changes and enhancements proposed.
The Have Your Say consultation process will remain open until Friday 23 February 2024 (inclusive).
