A public engagement process commenced on 27 March 2023 with the release of a consultation paper setting out the current cost to deliver regulatory activities, the department’s cost calculation methodology and the reasons for proposed changes to fees and charges for biosecurity activities.

We invite you to review the consultation paper and lodge a submission via the department’s ‘Have Your Say’ platform by 5 pm (AEST) 24 April 2023. Thank you to all stakeholders who attended forums with the department and provided feedback during the consultation period.
