What has changed?
The Department is working to deliver a client and workload management capability to support a cost effective, modern and client focused service delivery model across biosecurity operations. This work is being carried out in close consultation with industry.
A key part of this work was the introduction of the Biosecurity Portal in 2022 which allows clients to create and manage import inspection booking requests, at any time in a centralised online location. The portal streamlines the current manual and resource intensive email process, reducing industry’s effort in managing and tracking import inspection requests.
To assist clients to use the Portal most effectively, the Department will be running a series of webinars focussing on key Portal functionality and pain points as advised by clients.
The webinars will be 30 minutes in length, 15 minutes showcasing functionality and 15 minutes for questions and answers. The webinars will run from 6 to 20 March 2023.
