19 December 2023
Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants (BIPs) that operate an approved arrangement site and hold approval for class 14.4 rural tailgate inspection.
What has changed?
The department has published an updated Container Inspection Record (CIR) to include an updated date field range of 2024. The updated CIR will now auto-populate the year field with 2024, and as such for inspections completed within the remainder of 2023, BIPs will need to ensure that they manually select 2023 in the drop-down field.
Where the incorrect year date is used, in either 2023 or 2024, it may cause an error and delays in the AIMS entry being finalised and final Integrated Cargo System (ICS) status. This date field error will not however affect the ability of a BIP to immediately release a container free of biosecurity risk material post inspection.
The updated Rural Tailgate Container Inspection Record can be found on the departments external Conditions for operating approved arrangements webpage.
