Who does this notice affect?
Vessel operators, shipping agents, importers, brokers, first point of entry (FPOE) operators and others.
What has changed?
The Port of Port Adelaide FPOE determination has been amended to designate ‘Inner Harbour 29’ as a Biosecurity Entry Point (BEP) for freight containers and general goods. These classes of goods are now permitted to be unloaded at this location.
It is the obligation of the person in charge of a vessel to ensure that the vessel complies with the relevant FPOE determinations. Operators and other stakeholders should consult the relevant FPOE determinations on the Federal Register of Legislation to ensure that their proposed vessel or goods movements are compliant with the determinations’ permissions and BEP.
Lists of FPOE and links to determinations are available on the department’s webpage First points of entry – information for arriving vessels and goods.
