17 July 2023
Who does this notice affect?
Stakeholders associated with the biosecurity clearance of goods imported into Australia and which are subject to biosecurity intervention at an approved arrangement site. This includes customs brokers, importers, and biosecurity industry participants that operate an approved arrangement site.
What has changed?
Our new web page, Approved arrangement search tool was published on 3 July 2023 and replaces Sites operating under an approved arrangement.
The search tool provides details of biosecurity industry participants and the biosecurity activities they are permitted to carry out under their approved arrangement. Only biosecurity industry participants that have agreed to have their details published on the department’s webpages, will appear in the search tool.
We have updated the search tool and web page content following recent Have Your Say industry feedback on the old search tool titled class web listings report.
The new search tool includes:
- A new design and layout to improve navigation and overall user experience.
- A new filter to search by approved arrangement ID number.
- Additional biosecurity activity search filters – fumigation, tailgate, rural tailgate, cleaning, and hot water treatment.
- Consolidation of search results, which are now arranged on one central report screen instead of multiple screens.
The web page has user guidance material on using the tool to get accurate search results.
