Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s Class 19.1 non-commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) & Class 19.2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangements; Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) providers and registered training organisations (RTOs).
What has changed?
Key dates for the Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) 2023-24 period have now been published on the CBC activities webpage.
The CBC webinar activity for this period will be pre-recorded and made available on the Learnhub platform from Wednesday, 6 September 2023. As a result of these changes, there will no longer be a requirement to register your attendance for the event. Accredited persons must ensure that they have set up and logged into their Learnhub account. It is recommended that accredited persons also complete the ‘Introduction to Learnhub’ training prior to accessing the CBC activity.
The CBC assessment component will remain unchanged and conducted through the approved CBC providers.
Please contact your industry CBC provider to undertake the assessment by Wednesday, 18 October 2023. CBC completion records will be kept and managed by CBC providers however, it is also your responsibility to keep your own evidence of CBC completion as they may be requested by the department.
