What has changed?
The department has developed the Biosecurity Portal to be an easy online method for booking and managing import inspections. The Portal allows clients to lodge and manage requests for an import inspection at any time in a centralised online location. In addition, the Portal provides access to your Agriculture Import Management System (AIMS) directions information and a new service introduced in February this year, enabling lodgement of Class 14.4 outcomes.
To assist clients to use the Portal more effectively, the department has:
- Restructured the Portal web pages to improve access to support information on how to register and use the Portal;
- Revised the Portal User Guide into topic specific task cards; and
- Conducted a series of eight webinars during March this year which focussed on key Portal functionality. Recordings of webinars can be found on the Portal web page.
