Who does this notice affect?
All clients attempting to submit and/or pay for permit applications using the Department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON).
Information
The Biosecurity Import Conditions System is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, some clients are receiving errors when:
- attaching documents to permit applications
- submitting permit applications with payment or paying for previously submitted applications.
The department is investigating the issue as a priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
Action
Document attachment errors
If you receive an error when attaching a document to your permit application, please send the document via email to imports@aff.gov.au and include the permit application ID once submitted.
Payment errors
If you receive an error when attempting to submit a permit application with payment, please:
- do not attempt to make payment for your application again.
- submit the application without payment (select ‘Submit and pay later’).
- send an email to imports@aff.gov.au and include proof of payment and the permit application ID.
If you receive an error when attempting to pay for a previously submitted application, please:
- do not attempt to make payment for your application again.
- send an email to imports@aff.gov.au and include proof of payment and the permit application ID.
