Who does this notice affect?
- Importers and brokers of:
- Fresh mandarins, from the USA only
- Fresh oranges, from the USA only
- Almonds (raw, shell removed) from all countries
- Brazil nuts (raw, shell removed) from all countries
- Cashews (raw, in shell and shelled) from all countries
- Hazelnuts (raw, shell removed) from all countries
- Macadamias (raw, shell removed) from all countries
- Pistachios (raw, shell removed) from all countries
- Walnuts (raw, shell removed) from all countries
What has changed?
Following a review, the department is reducing the rates on a number of eligible nut and US citrus pathways, due to high levels of compliance with the import conditions.

These changes are scheduled to take effect on 10 February 2022. The department anticipates minimal impact to importers and their agents, whilst this transition occurs.
