Who does this notice affect?
Vessel operators, shipping agents, importers, brokers, first point of entry (FPOE) operators and others.
What has changed?
The Port of Dampier FPOE determination has been amended to:
- Determine the Port of Dampier as an FPOE for freight containers. Freight containers must be brought to a biosecurity entry point (BEP) for freight containers at the port as soon as practicable, unless prior permission is granted by the department.
- Designate Dampier Cargo Wharf as a BEP for freight containers.
- Designate FDTS Facility as a BEP for vessels other than non-commercial vessels and passenger vessels, baggage carried on a vessel other than a non-commercial vessel or a passenger vessel, freight containers, inorganic bulk goods, general goods, and waste. The FDTS Facility is a new BEP location at the Port of Dampier.
- Designate Toll Dampier Supply Base Terminal as a BEP for freight containers.
- Change all references to ‘Toll Dampier Supply Base’ to ‘Toll Dampier Supply Base Terminal’. This is a name change only. The location has not changed.
