Who does this notice affect?
All biosecurity treatment providers across Australia, particularly methyl bromide fumigators.
What is changing?
Issue
Over a 4-week period from 20 August 2020 to 17 September 2020, onshore methyl bromide treatment providers and related industry members participated in a survey about a nationally harmonised framework for managing biosecurity treatments (see 130-2020 and 150-2020).
The purpose of the survey was to inform the work of the National Biosecurity Committee treatments harmonisation working group and the review of the methyl bromide fumigation methodology.
Participant responses to the survey have been summarised into a report and can be found on Have Your Say. We wanted to share the results so that there is a common understanding of some of the views across industry and to inform future engagement.
