Who does this notice affect?
Clients in the import and shipping industries—including freight forwarders, importers and customs brokers—associated with importing goods that require BMSB treatment during the BMSB risk season (goods shipped between 1 September 2020 that arrive in Australian territory by 31 May 2021 (inclusive)).
What has changed?
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries have withdrawn Nozzle Nolen, Inc (AEI: US4087SB) and Gregory Pest Solutions (AEI: US4082SB) from the Offshore BMSB Treatment Providers Scheme (the scheme).
Offshore treatment providers
Nozzle Nolen, Inc (AEI: US4087SB) and Gregory Pest Solutions (AEI: US4082SB) will be listed as ‘Withdrawn’ on the Offshore BMSB Treatment Providers Scheme’s List of offshore BMSB treatment providers and the Offshore Treatment Providers list of Treatment Providers Under an Approved Scheme.
The date of the withdrawal is published on the Summary of recent changes to the list of offshore BMSB treatment providers and the Summary of recent changes to the offshore treatment providers list webpages.
All treatment certification issued by the treatment providers on or prior to the withdrawal date will be accepted and assessed for validity on arrival.
Any treatment certification issued by the treatment providers after the withdrawal date will not be accepted.
