Who does this notice affect?
All stakeholders interested in providing feedback on the department’s Regulator Performance Framework 2018-19 self-assessments.
What is happening?
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment is seeking feedback on its Regulator Performance Framework (RPF) 2018–19 self-assessments.
Regulation is a central role of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. We are committed to being an effective and best practice regulator that considers the impact of regulation on regulated entities and the broader community. We assess regulatory performance using the Australian Government Regulator Performance Framework (RPF) and validate the self-assessment with external stakeholders before publication.
Before machinery of government changes took effect, the former Department of Agriculture and Department of Environment and Energy prepared self-assessments of their regulatory performance in 2018–19:
- The Department of Agriculture produced one self-assessment report for each of seven regulatory areas in line with the key performance indicators set out in the Australian Government’s Regulator Performance Framework.
- The Department of Environment and Energy produced one self-assessment of all the former Department’s regulatory functions using a framework that provides additional and complementary performance indicators to those of the Australian Government’s Regulator Performance Framework.
All interested stakeholders are encouraged to read the relevant self-assessments and provide feedback through the link below.
