Information
Due to recent interception of khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), the department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment will be diverting a number of staff to the emergency response, in particular inspections and treatments required at a number of locations around the country.
This additional workload associated with the khapra beetle emergency response may impact the department’s capacity to meet published service standards in the Client Service Charter over the coming weeks.
The current response to the khapra beetle interception is necessary to ensure the risk to our agricultural industries, and associated trade, is managed.
Thank you in advance for your understanding, and for your ongoing patience and cooperation.
