Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s class 19.1 non-commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) & class 19.2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangements; continued biosecurity competency (CBC) providers and registered training organisations (RTOs).
What has changed?
The Training and accreditation for approved arrangements (class 19.1, 19.2) policy was recently reviewed and updated to align with current accreditation and CBC procedures; and is now published on the department’s Training and accreditation for approved arrangements web page.
Please note that the unit of competency TLIX5054 Comply with biosecurity border clearance has been superseded by TLIX0008 as a result of an update on the unit’s elements and performance criteria. As these units are deemed equivalent, TLIX5054 will continue to be accepted for accreditation purposes.
The web page has also been updated with details of the mandatory AEPCOMM expansion CBC activity (20-21/01) for the current period. The activity will be a live webinar to be held on 4 August 2020 at 10:00am (AEST). Registration details for the webinar will be provided by the department closer to the date.
