This notice is of interest to customs brokers and importers of preserved fruit and vegetable products for human consumption.
This IAN is an update in reference to IAN 196-2019 Preserved Fruits and Vegetables for human consumption -documentary requirements, published on 20 November 2019.
What has changed?
Further review has prompted one additional change to the Community Protection (CP) profile questions associated with a number of tariffs and those applicable to the Preserved Fruit and Vegetable case.
Tariffs 0904, 2002, 2003 and 2005 will now ask:
“Are the goods accompanied by appropriate documentation to verify that they are commercially canned, bottled, aseptically packaged or retorted?”
