Who does this notice affect?
The following information is relevant to Biosecurity Industry Participants (BIPs) and accredited persons operating under the Class 19. 2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangement.
What has changed?
The following commodities are now available to process under the class 19.2 AEPCOMM approved arrangement: finfish (non-consumer ready) and fish roe (including caviar) from all countries, starter cultures for human consumption, manufactured articles containing animal material, prefabricated buildings and caravans, honey, unaccompanied personal effects and boats. A recording of the live webinar (CBC activity 19-20/02) broadcast on 26 August 2019 is now available on the Training and accreditation for approved arrangements webpage for those who could not attend or if you need to review the information.
Accredited persons are required to successfully complete the 19-20/02 CBC activity (that includes the webinar and assessment) prior to lodging any of the new commodities through AEPCOMM. The department will monitor lodgements of the new commodities post implementation to verify that they are being processed by accredited persons that have successfully completed the activity.
