Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity Industry Participants (BIPs) and accredited persons operating under the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Class 19.2 Approved Arrangement: Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM).
What has changed?
Further to Industry Advice Notice 39-2018 the Requirements for approved arrangement Class 19.2: AEPCOMM (version 6) have been updated on the Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) Reform web page.
Version 6.1 has been updated to reflect a minor change within the following commodity groups:
- Highly processed and manufactured wooden articles
- Unfinished timber and timber products.
Inspection and fumigation pathways have been added to the unfinished timber group and details about how compliance will be monitored for tariff groups 4409 and 4418 has been provided in tables 8 and 10 of the document. Details of the changes are provided within the document version control.
All documents published on the Automatic Entry Processing (AEP) Reform web page come into effect on 23 of June 2018 coinciding with the AEP enhancements to the Agriculture Import Management System (AIMS). BIP’s will continue to operate under current versions of the Class 19.1 and 19.2 requirements and Approved arrangement general policies until 22 June 2018.
