Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants (BIPs) operating an approved arrangement (AA) broker class 19.1 and class 19.2.
Reminder
This is a reminder to all biosecurity industry participants operating an approved arrangement (AA) broker class 19.1 and/or class 19.2 that the BIP must ensure biosecurity directions generated by AIMS and received by the BIP are complied with. This is stipulated as a requirement under the broker approved arrangements.
To comply with this requirement, BIPs must ensure inspection and treatment activities are arranged and must provide third parties (including AA sites holding goods for inspection or treatment) with biosecurity directions to be carried out in accordance with their approved arrangement within the designated timeframe (that allows the biosecurity risk to be managed).
Failure of the BIP to pass on the AIMS directions to the AA site holding goods for inspection or treatment and resulting in biosecurity directions being bypassed is considered a breach of the requirements under the Broker approved arrangements and will result in non-compliance action.

For further information refer to the Class 19 requirements. Please contact AEP support if you have any questions.
