Who does this notice affect?
The following information is relevant to Biosecurity Industry Participants (BIPs) and accredited persons operating under the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Class 19.2 Approved Arrangement: Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM).
This information also affects Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that deliver the unit of competency TLIX5054 Comply with Biosecurity Clearance.
What will change?
On March 1, 2017 some commodity groups currently under the AEPCOMM AA will be modified/removed due to policy changes. As a result, the Class 19.2 Requirements document will be updated to reflect these changes. A new version of this document will be published on the department’s website on the same date.
Commodities affected are as follows:

Furthermore, as part of phase 1 of the AEP Reform Project the AEPCOMM AA will be expanded by the inclusion of additional commodities. The department envisages these changes will be implemented by the end of April, 2017. An Industry Advice Notice will be published confirming details.
