Who does this notice affect?
The following information is relevant to Biosecurity Industry Participants (BIPs), and accredited persons operating under the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources’ Approved Arrangement Class 19.2: Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities. This information also affects Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that deliver the unit of competency TLIX5054 Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance.
What has changed?
As advised in Industry Notice 107-2016 published on 16 November 2016, the process for determining AEPCOMM codes by accredited persons has changed. Accredited persons will now need to determine AEPCOMM codes using BICON. The Class 19.2 Requirements document has been updated and published on the department’s website to reflect the changes.
Additionally the Class 19.1 Requirements document has had minor amendments to include new terminology for the packing material statement and packing declaration requirements as part of the NCCC codes. The non-conformities list has also been modified to align with the Minimum Documentary and Import Declaration Requirements Policy.
