Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise that the instructional material - Guideline: Supporting documents for plant exports has been updated.
Summary of changes and key points
Changes to the Guideline: Supporting documents for plant exports include:
- information regarding exporter and importer details stated on an import permit
- updated requirements for annual rye grass toxicity test certificates
- separation of fumigation certificate requirements for grain and horticulture into individual sections
- requirements regarding:
- onshore cold treatment
- in-transit fumigation.
The Guideline: Supporting documents for plant exports has been published in the Documentation section of the Plant Export Operations Manual.
Information regarding importer and exporter details has been reflected in the User Guide: Completion of a phytosanitary certificate E16. This has been published in the Phytosanitary certificate section of the Certificates, declarations and forms webpage.
Background
As part of the department’s commitment to continual improvement, we are revising our instructional material.
This will include Guidelines, Work Instructions and References published on the Plant Export Operations Manual and related plant exports webpages. We are revising this material to help it better meet your needs.
Stakeholder responsibilities
All internal and external stakeholders must comply with the new guideline from the date of publication.
