20 July 2022
Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to notify stakeholders of updates to the Export Documentation System (EXDOC).
Summary and key points
- EXDOC was enhanced on 17 July 2022 to allow one Request for Permit (RFP) to be lodged for grain consignments where some products require a phytosanitary certificate and others no certificate (NC1).
- Previously, when users raised an RFP with some products requiring a certificate and others requiring no certificate, EXDOC would set the print indicator to N, preventing the system from issuing a certificate for any products.
Background
Ongoing enhancement to export systems are delivered through projects under the Trade Reform Initiative. The aim of the Export Certification Modernisation – Horticulture and Grain project is to use modern technologies to streamline the existing process for requesting export permits and certification, to improve our clients’ experience with government service delivery and to minimise duplication of data requirements across the department.
Further information about system enhancements is available on the Transforming Australia's agricultural export services webpage.
