Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry and Authorised Officers about arrangements for plant exports systems and services during the Christmas and New Year period.
Summary of changes and key points
- Our Canberra offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday period from Friday, 25 December 2020, reopening on Monday morning, 4 January 2021.
- The general enquiry line 1800 900 090 will be available on a limited basis over the Christmas period as follows:
- Closed Friday, 25 December through until Monday, 28 December 2020
- Open from Tuesday, 29 December through until Thursday, 31 December 2020
- Closed on Friday, 01 January 2020 and reopen for normal business from Monday, 4 January 2021 onwards.
- All regional offices and major ports will be available on a limited basis over the Christmas period as follows:
- Closed Friday, 25 December through until Monday, 28 December 2020
- Open from Tuesday, 29 December through until Tuesday, 31 December 2020
- Closed on Friday, 01 January 2020 and reopen for normal business from Monday, 4 January 2021 onwards.
- Appointments for the period Friday, 25 December 2020, to Sunday, 3 January 2021 must be requested prior to close of business on Friday, 18 December 2020.

Assessment Services Group (Exports)
- Assessment Services Group (Exports) will be closed on the following days
- Friday, 25 December through until Monday, 28 December 2020
- Friday, 1 January through until Monday, 4 January 2021.
- Assessment Services Group (Exports) will be open on the following days
- Tuesday, 29 December 2020 through until Thursday 31, December 2020.
- Clients requiring Request For Permit (RFP) authorisations and/or certificate collections on the days where our offices are closed will be required to submit an overtime request to the Assessment Services Group (Exports) – Plant (NDH).
- Clients submitting overtime requests are required to use the following email subject header:

- Overtime request emails for service on 25–28 December 2020 (where our offices are closed), must be sent by 2pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, 23 December 2020.
- Overtime request emails for service on 1–3 January 2021 (where our offices are closed), must be sent by 2pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 30 December 2020.

EXDOC and MICoR
- EXDOC Plant Programs and MICoR Plants inboxes will not be monitored from close of business on Thursday 24 December 2020 to Friday 1 January 2020. Any requests received during this period will be actioned from Monday 4 January 2020.
- If you require updates or amendments to EXDOC product coding or MICoR plants cases prior to close of business (COB) Thursday 24 December 2020, please send your request to the relevant team within the following timeframes
- EXDOC coding request for plant exports must be received by close of business on Wednesday, 16 December 2020 at EXDOC Plant Programs
- MICoR cases (amendments and new cases) for plant exports must be received by close of business on Wednesday, 16 December 2020 at MICoR Plants.
- If you have enquiries relating to plant export certification (that is, not updates to EXDOC coding or MICoR cases) between Monday 28 December to Thursday 31 December 2020 please contact Assessment Services Group (Exports) – Plant (NDH).

Authorised Officer services and support
- The Authorised Officer Program (Canberra Office) will be closed from Friday, 25 December 2020, reopening on Monday morning, 4 January 2021.
- During this time
- the Plant Export Training inbox will not be checked
- appointment and reappointment services will not be available.
- Emails sent to the inbox during this period will be actioned when the office reopens on Monday, 4 January 2021.
- The Authorised Officer (AO) hotline (1800 851 305) will continue to be manned from 6 am–10 pm (AEDT) on weekdays and 6 am–6 pm (AEDT) on weekends and public holidays, to ensure AOs are supported over the Christmas and New Year period.
- Training and assessment for AOs will not be delivered between Monday, 21 December 2020 and Friday, 8 January 2021 inclusive.
