Purpose
To call for entity/ registrations for Australian table grape exports to Korea, China, Japan and Thailand for the 2016-17 season.
Background
Countries with protocol markets have specific requirements for importing Australian produce. The protocols for table grapes to Korea, China, Japan and Thailand mandate that certain entities be registered with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources prior to the commencement of the season.
Table grape growers, packhouses and treatment facilities that wish to export to China, Japan, Korea, or Thailand during the 2016-17 export season must ensure that their respective registration applications are submitted before the due dates.
The table below shows the registration requirements for exporting table grapes to countries with protocol markets.

Please refer to the relevant protocols and workplans for full information on registration application requirements. Workplans are available on the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) Plant website.
To access these documents, you must be a registered MICoR Plant user. To register, go to the registration webpage. Complete all fields, and then click ‘Submit’. The MICoR Plant team will process your registration request. This can take up to five working days. You will be provided with your login details by e-mail.
Applications for registration of vineyard, packhouse or treatment facility must be completed and submitted by 14 October 2016, late applications will not be accepted.
A vineyard, packhouse or treatment facility will be granted a registered status by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources once all requirements have been audited and verified in accordance with the protocol. Some facilities may require an audit by the importing country.
