Purpose
To inform stakeholders of phytosanitary requirements for the export to Hong Kong of products for human or animal consumption (stockfeed) and processing.
Background
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has received advice from the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department Kowloon, that no import permit or phytosanitary certificate is required for the export to Hong Kong of grains, seeds and spices for human or animal consumption (stockfeed) and processing.
A phytosanitary certificate is required for grains and seeds being imported for sowing and research purposes. An import permit is not required.
The Micor Plants database has been updated to reflect the changes to conditions.
