The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) has received notification from Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) that conditions for exports of fuzzy cotton seed for stock feed to the USA from Australia have recently been updated.
Current updates to export conditions for fuzzy cotton seed to the USA now require AQIS and not APHIS supervision of stack building, pipe installation and fumigation.
Exporters must be in possession of a current and valid APHIS import permit prior to making arrangements for AQIS supervision stack building, pipe installation and fumigation
Consignments must be fumigated in accordance with the APHIS treatment manual, schedule T301-a-2. http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/manuals/ports/treatment.shtml
