Date issued - 5 April 2007
The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) issues manual Phytosanitary certificates through either self-carbon forms or from the Phytosanitary certificate template available on the AQIS web.
It has been recently brought to our attention that exporters may have downloaded a Phytosanitary certificate template from the AQIS web and are now presenting out of date versions to AQIS for certification.
To eliminate this problem, version control measures have been applied to the Phytosanitary certificate template on the AQIS web. The current version of this certificate will only be accepted by AQIS inspectors for certification. All out of date Phytosanitary certificates presented to AQIS inspectors will be rejected.
All exporters who use the Phytosanitary certificate template are encouraged to check they have are using the current certificate and only present this certificate to AQIS inspectors for certification.
